ACADEMY – DRAWINGS

Academy – drawing

During my studies at the academy, there were several periods which I devoted to drawing. I have special memories of the landscapes in Brittany and Poland. I drew in cemeteries, in the Artis zoo, during my night watches as a private nurse.  

I always had a tendency to draw the underworld, that which was under the floor, under water, or invisible behind things. I did not follow up on drawing; did I perhaps neglect a talent? Maybe the patience for drawing will return. However, in my spatial work, working with paper, line control and expression, and perspective are still important.
